Miscellaneous Activities and Projects
During the Summer of 2014 I had the privilege to work with Bill Jarcho and Steffon Moody on a series of digital books that covered the subject of bullying. Bill had already given me a number of opportunities, including being a roving puppeteer, a Teachers assistant, and a teacher for children attending summer school. He is incredibly humble. The more I got to know him, the more in awe I was of what he had accomplished, and was still accomplishing.
Steffon was just as awe-inspiring. He introduced me to a whole different perspective of theater, as well as give me the opportunity to try stand up for the first time. I still occasionally will write a segment and go to open mics at Laughs comedy club. That is all because of him. These two really gave me wings in a lot of ways.

I love Coldplay. It is only fitting that Coldplay's 'Fix You' be matched up with my humanitarian trip. In 2006 I went on sort of an awareness mission. It wasn't that I was doing much, but I was surrounded by some of the most amazing people who had dedicated millions of dollars and thousands of hours to bettering the lives of some of the poorest people. They were truly living Rotary's saying 'service above self.' My video editing capabilities have come a long way since the production of this video. If I still had all these pictures, I would redo it so that it timed up better. It was a good attempt for right out of high school though.
I have been known to make up funny poetry, or try my hand at rap. This was produced by a friend of mine who was helping me finish a project. I find that rhyming helps with retention. I can quote rappers, without remembering their names, and its because the way that they are putting information out maximizes its retention, creating a new sense of social awareness. In my own opinion, this could be done with all sorts of information.

Over the course of two summers, I cycled the entire Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound. It was during the pandemic, so the Moclipse highway was closed, and many stores, shops and restaurants were limited in availability. The last stretch from Aberdeen to Elma was incredibly difficult. There was no cover, and it was the peak of summer. One of the greatest trips of my life though.
